Julia Rueger Artist Dolls

We've come across a few porcelain artist dolls by Julia Rueger, Ltd.  Julia Rueger creates entirely handmade dolls and bears in very limited edition.  The porcelain dolls are painstakingly hand painted by Julia.  her designs incorporate the winsome, freckled faces of childhood.

This is Cirby I.  Cirby is a large 27" porcelain doll.  She is richly dressed in a patterned dress, patterned tights, flowered shoes, and matching plush coat, hat and muff set.  She has light freckles handpainted on the porcelain and frowsy light red hair.  What a stunner!

Here is Kirby.  Kirby is about 22" inches.  She is a freckle face, hand painted porcelain doll with a plush kitty friend.

This is Katie & Kellie, from an edition of 50.  From the hang tag: "The second original sculpted by Julia.   Katie is a precious young girl sitting on her garden bencj with Kellie her best friend!  They are all dressed up for a party.  Want to go??  Katie will be a wonderful addition to any collection.  Please enjoy!!"

Here is another Rueger doll, this is Violet.  Note the play on words with the clothing and the doll's name.  This one is a bit more mature looking than Katie, but equally well painted.
